When you buy a refurbished Linear Accelerator, Multileaf Collimator, IMRT and IGRT imaging device, CT Simulator or other device from Oncology Services International, you’re not just purchasing a piece of used equipment. You are receiving a device that has been comprehensively reconditioned to perform at the original manufacturer’s specifications. We always work to ensure that our radiation oncology solutions function as well as they did when they left the OEM factory for the first time.
Exact refurbishment schedules vary, but the following shows an example of our comprehensive process:
- Full Systems Testing to meet OEM Acceptance Requirements and replacement of all parts as necessary
- Magnetron (tested and replaced as required)
- Thyratron (tested and replaced as required)
- Bending Magnet Coils (tested and replaced as required)
- All water lines replaced
- Bearings in primary collimator replaced and collimator slides tested
- Mechanical and electrical checkout and testing of Jaws
- Waveguide Beam Line tested and all high voltage components checked and replaced if necessary
- Control Console tested and cleaned
- Structure cleaned and checked
- All machine wiring checked and replaced if necessary
- Thorough solvent cleaning of all gantry and structure
- Refinished wood and Plexiglas inserts installed on patient couch
- Patient couch bearings checked for excessive wear and replaced if necessary
- Thorough solvent cleaning of patient couch
- All covers painted with textured paint used by OEM
